Finally an Update

Ok so I've been seriously slacking on this whole Blog Thing. I'll just try and give a quick synopsis to get everyone caught up on all of the fun things that I've been doing. First of all, I went skydiving. This picture here is of my friends Ryan, Ian and I just before we all jumped out of a plane at 14,000 ft. It was one of those things I wanted to do before I died and I figured there was no better place than Australia. It was a ridiculously amazing experience. I'm not going to lie, I was terrified, although I can't really explain what I was scared of. All in all it was a great experience and anyone who is considering it should definitely go, I really doubt that you will regret it. I also went on a weekend trip to Melbourne with my friend Mary. Melbourne is sort of the art
capitol of Australia, and it actually reminded me a lot of Portland. Especially because it poured the majority of the time that we were there. The picture on the left is from when Mary and I went up to the top of the tallest building in Melbourne. Like many cities, they have a whole floor that gives a 360 view of the city. Even on a cloudy day it was beautiful. I thought the elevator floor was extremely cool. We also went on a day trip, where we got on a giant tour bus that took us all along the Great Ocean Road. Again the weather wasn't great, there were times that we couldn't see more than a foot or so in front of us
because of how thick the fog was. But
luckily the weather cleared a little bit right as we got to one of the coolest parts of the journey, rock formations called the 12 apostles. The picture on the right is of me looking out at them. All in all it was a good weekend. I also spent another weekend in Sydney with my Aunt Carol. She is a flight attendant, so she was in Sydney for the weekend and I was able to go and stay with her and she showed me some of her favorite places in the city. I also got to meet and hang out with a bunch of really nice flight attendants that she works with. It was a short, but very fun weekend. Most recently Ian, Ryan and I went and did the bridge climb in Brisbane. The Bridge climb in Sydney is extremely expensive and we found a deal for the Brisbane bridge climb so
that it was only $50 each for us to go. This picture is of us on the bridge and behind us is the city of Brisbane. Again the weather wasn't fantastic, but we were up there for sunset and into the night. It was a great experience. My favorite part was the suits that we wore and all of the gear that we had. I felt like I was part of Ghostbusters or something. I have my photography portfolio to turn in this week and then on thursday Ian, Ryan and I are leaving for a week long trip to Cairns. We are going to spend a few days there and then drive back along the coast over a few days and see what we can of Queensland. And then finals and then home for Christmas. I can't believe how fast it has all gone by. I still have a few good weeks and I'm going to try and get as much sun as I can, but it will also good to be home. I can't wait to see everyone, share all of my pictures and funny stories, and hear about how everyone's fall has been. Hope everyone is still well =)
