So let me think about where to start. All of my classes seem really interesting, and I have at least one friend in every class. It's weird getting used to having only 13 hours of class a week, although we definitely get a lot done during that time period. So far for homework, I have reading for every class and 5 self-portraits due for photography. I included one of them below. It's been raining here so it made me think of home, and I decided to try and incorporate that feeling into one of my photos. This weekend we had a lot of fun, it was a friend's birthday so we all went out which is what the picture on the right is from. Although this is only a small part of the group. On Friday night something interesting happened. We had been out with friends at an apartment right near campus, and we all wandered back to campus around 2 in the morning. When I got to my room, my light was on which was really weird because usually my roommate is asleep long before then. I walk into my room to find it completely covered with a
white powdery substance. I had no idea what was happening until my roommate told me that not 10 minutes ago someone had run into our room and sprayed a fire extinguisher all over our room, including my roommate who was in bed asleep. Needless to say that made for a very long night. We had to find the senior res fellows, security etc. and then find somewhere else to stay until our room could be cleaned up the next morning. Luckily none of my things were ruined, including my computer, camera, etc. that were all sitting out in my room at the time. So all in all, not nearly as bad as it could have been, but I don't think many people can say their room has been vandalized by fire extinguisher. Now that I think about it, it's sort of a ridiculous and funny story although I didn't really think so at the time. So hopefully that will be my only excitement of that sort for the rest of the semester. All in all, so far so good. We have 3 day weekends every weekend because there are very few classes on Fridays, and now if only the weather would cheer up a little bit, I would REALLY have nothing to complain about haha. Some friends and I went to the beach this weekend so when I get those photos edited I will but some of those up as well. More soon =)
